(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. has inked a contract with Planet Labs to supply a global network of X/Y Tracking Antenna Systems.

Design of these precision systems are specifically for low-Earth orbit and medium-Earth orbit satellites which are mainly used for Earth observation, remote sensing, and telemetry, tracking and control applications.

TCS antenna systems are being used by Planet Labs to track Flock-1, the world´s largest, single constellation of Earth-imaging satellites.

A purpose-driven space-information company based in San Francisco, California, Planet Labs Inc. operates Earth imaging satellites for imaging the entire planet at an unprecedented frequency, collecting data and insight for boosting global action.




Planet Labs plans provision of universal access to information in regards with the changing planet allowing commercial as well as humanitarian applications.
