Connect2Classes™ Connects Students to Local Classes, Filling Seats and Reducing Cancellations

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Seattle, WA (PRWEB) July 31, 2014 Today, Seattle-based startup Connect2Classes announced their vision to build the most comprehensive digital marketplace for class discovery. C2C™ focuses on filling seats in continuing education and non-credit classes.

"Last year I attended a lecture by a renowned speaker on sustainability. I was shocked to find the auditorium half full," said Dallas Jasper, Connec2Classes CEO, "Ultimately, I realized that many of my colleagues who worked in the sustainability field simply had no idea the lecture was scheduled. I knew that solving the information gap would fill empty seats at the same time. That is how C2C idea was born." Our mission is to connect top educators with the growing number of lifelong learners. Connect2Classes provides a much-needed marketing platform for educators to attract prospective students.

"82% of estimated enrollment is in non-credit personal interest and professional development programs, however, marketing these programs is still typically print-oriented and expensive. Through the use of innovative technologies, we allow providers to be more effective with small marketing budgets", said Herrington, C2C co-founder. "Connect2Classes helps fill empty seats".

"It's important for people to know what opportunities they have for lifelong learning. Our class cancellation rate averages 50% each quarter due to low or no enrollment," stated Marcia Somer, Ph.D, Associate Dean of Technology for Lake Washington Institute of Technology. "The more people know about our classes, the higher our enrollment, and thus lowers our cancellation rate." As students browse for classes, they get the full picture very quickly: price, location, schedule and instructor. This makes it easy to scan classes, compare and choose the one that fits their needs. Additionally, they can read or write class reviews, register for classes and share information with friends and colleagues. They can also sign up to receive notifications on topical educational events in the local area or new classes offerings that fit their personal preferences and interests.

Connect2Classes is one of the fastest growing sources of classes from local providers. Over 2000 courses on variety of topics are available. School of Visual Concepts, Gage Academy of Art, Seattle Tilth and Seattle Film Institute, as well as national providers such as Stanford Continuing Studies already list classes on C2C. "We are adding 3-5 new Class Providers a day and expect to have more than 20,000 classes by January of 2015," said Jasper.

On August 6th, Connect2Classes will host an educational launch for class providers and lifelong learners. The event is hosted in partnership with School of Visual Concepts. Please contact Dallas Jasper for an invitation.
