(Florida Times Union Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Allstate agency owner Stacy Hughes received the Agency Hands in the Community Award for providing civic assistance in the Jacksonville Beach community.

The award gave a $1,000 grant from The Allstate Foundation to the In The Pink Boutique, where Hughes volunteers.

- - - Nordstrom Inc. hired Brandy Jefferson as the store manager of the planned Nordstrom at St. Johns Town Center in Jacksonville.

The new store will open Friday, Oct. 10, and will feature selections of fashion merchandise for women, men and children.

- - - Jack C. Kilgore, president of the consumer brands division of Rich Products Corp., was honored recently with the United Way of Coastal Georgia's 2014 Glynn County Volunteer of the Year award.

Kilgore has worked in the Golden Isles community for more than 35 years as a leader within Rich Products, one of the world's largest family-owned food companies.

- - - Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty hired Christine Scalf as broker and manager of the Mandarin-St. Johns branch office.

A resident of Northeast Florida since 1984, Scalf has been a licensed and active Realtor since 2006.

Berkshire also hired Kevin Waugaman as managing broker of the company's Ponte Vedra Beach office.

Prior to joining the company, Waugaman spent nine years at Premier Realty Group in Stuart.

In addition, Berkshire announced the promotion of Don Cline to assistant general manager. Cline will lead the company's office in Atlantic Beach.

- - - Mike Davidson auto dealerships of Jacksonville recently recognized eight of their employees for being "Good Guys" for more than 20 years.

Those employees include: Henry B. Thomas in the parts department for 55 years of service; James H. Evans in the service department for 50 years of service; Michael F. Davidson in the sales department for 35 years of service; Jane M. Gibson in the sales department for 33 years of service; Ervin P. Horne in the sales department for 30 years of service; William T. Buckingham in administration for 22 years of service; David Allen Lutins in the parts department for 21 years of service; and Donna D. Mikels in the parts department for 20 years of service.



- - - Gov. Rick Scott announced one appointment and four reappointments to the Flagler County Housing Authority.

Warnell Williams of Bunnell succeeds Steven Jones and was appointed for a term that began July 9. Robert DeVereux of Palm Coast, Frank Giddens of Bunnell, Rayfield Gilyard of Bunnell and William Seeney of Palm Coast were all reappointed for terms on the board.


- - - The Rotary Club of South Jacksonville has selected its leadership team for the 2014-2015 term.

Serving as president is Bill Jaycox; vice president/president- elect is David Bissell; treasurer/secretary is Jason Burnett; sergeant-at-arms is Chris Bouton; and past president is Harlan Bost.

- - - Martin Gottlieb & Associates, an emergency billing and coding firm, hired Erin Houck as regional practice administrator.

In the position, Houck will work on meeting needs of emergency physicians.

- - - Southeast Toyota Distributors hired Billy Hayes as vice president of sales operations.

Hayes will oversee the field sales and training departments at 176 Toyota dealerships in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and North and South Carolina.

- - - Advanced Disposal of Ponte Vedra Beach hired Don Neukam as vice president of business development and strategic planning.

Neukam will be responsible for mergers, acquisitions and strategic growth initiatives for the company.

- - - Jacksonville Pediatrics hired Ryan Cantville to join the practice.
