Internet of Things Visionary and Author of "Enchanted Objects" David Rose to Speak at FutureM 2014

BOSTON --(Business Wire)--

FutureM, the annual event showcasing the future of marketing, today announced a number of exciting additions to the 2014 program, including a headline session hosted by David Rose, co-founder and CEO of Ditto Labs. In his presentation, David will explore how "Enchanted Objects" and the Internet of Things will transform how we interact with technology and the way brands connect with consumers. Rose, an award-winning entrepreneur, author and instructor at the MIT (News - Alert) Media Lab, recently released Enchanted Objects, a book published by Scribner that investigates how technology is imbuing everyday objects with connectivity and what it will means for businesses.

Co-located with the HubSpot INBOUND conference, FutureM will take place at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, September 16-18. To register for the event, visit FutureM.org.

"For the past seven years, marketers have focused on the smartphone as the hub of the innovation universe. But as David Rose points out, the Internet of Things is changing that paradigm by making everyday objects an equal player the innovation ecosystem," said Amy Quigley, MITX President. "We look forward to David enlightening attendees on future in which enchanted objects will become a common part of our lives."

FutureM also announced the slate of speakers and events for its Startup track. Hosted by Jeff Janer, Former Co-Founder of Springpad, the sessions include a conversation with Frank Gruber, CEO of Tech Cocktail and recent author of Startup Mixology, as well as a panel on new ways to successfully sell to the CMO. The Startup track will also feature a Shark Tank-like pitch competition during which MITX Up startups will compete before a panel of seasoned entrepreneurs and venture capitalists.
