Infoblox Announces More Than 900 Channel Professionals Have Completed Advanced Solutions Training

SANTA CLARA, Calif. --(Business Wire)--

Infoblox (News - Alert) Inc. (NYSE:BLOX), the network control company, today announced that its Infoblox Automation Solutions Architect (IASA) program has trained and certified more than 900 pre-sales engineers worldwide, less than two and a half years after the program's launch.

The IASA program includes a customized two-day workshop, usually conducted on the premises of the channel partner and tailored to the partner's customer base. The training introduces the partner's pre-sales engineers (SEs) and solution architects to the full portfolio of Infoblox products for network control, security, and automation, resulting in a deeper knowledge of how these solutions can positively impact customers. The workshops are designed to help partner SEs understand the Infoblox value proposition, build solution offerings that include Infoblox products, and demonstrate Infoblox products to their customers. In addition, the workshops provide certification on career-enhancing skills such as best practices for Domain Name System (DNS) deployment, DNS security, and IPv6 essentials.

The aim of the IASA is to help channel partners grow their business in a highly targeted fashion by providing a program that is more intense and comprehensive than typical training sessions from many IT vendors. Infoblox estimates partners with IASA-certified SEs and solution architects have the potential to increase their Infoblox sales at twice the rate of partners who have yet to participate in the program.

As of mid-July, approximately 900 sales engineers from nearly 100 Elite partners have completed the IASA program, which began in February 2012. Over the last 12 months, the growing success of Infoblox's program has resulted in more than doubling the number of technically-focused professionals receiving certification.

Infoblox has advanced its technical training program further by adding a new certification level: DNS Security Expert (DSE). This program consists of specific workshops for new pre-sales engineers and existing IASAs to achieve Infoblox's DSE certification, which is an advancement over the base-level IASA certification. The DSE program will provide a deeper dive into a layered security approach focusing on Infoblox's Advanced DNS Security portfolio.

"Infoblox's IASA training program is an evolution in the way in which prtners can upskill and advance their capabilities to architect and design solutions that solve their client's business problem," said Lawrence Van Deusen, director of Networking Business Unit at Dimension Data. "The combination of technical acumen coupled with practical business case allows our solution architects to build and position Infoblox solutions more effectively. This has resulted in an immediate ROI back to our business in terms of net-new client acquisition and faster time to solving our client's business issues."

"The onsite personalized delivery of the IASA program represents the exceptional support Infoblox provides to systems engineers," said Shawn Campbell, systems engineer, Scalar Decisions. "As a result of the program, we have been able to successfully demonstrate and propose Infoblox solutions to our customer base at Scalar Decisions. Even with my extensive prior experience in the automation space, this certification program enabled me to better recognize unique opportunities and build solutions that integrate Infoblox with other products in our technology portfolio."

"Taking sales engineers and solution architects out of the field for two days is a significant commitment, and we're deeply grateful for the enthusiastic support of our partners in growing the IASA program much faster than we expected," said Tim Colby, vice president of worldwide channel sales at Infoblox. "Many of our partners have told us, after completing IASA training, that the program helped them uncover new opportunities with their customers. With an increase in DNS attacks since 2012, we expect to see strong interest from our security-focused channels in our new DSE workshops to help them extend their security approach with their customers with a stronger emphasis on DNS. According to Prolexic, DNS attacks grew by 216 % from 2012 to 2013."
