(New Straits Time (Malaysia) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) LG KizON LG Electronics' KizON wristband is designed to help parents keep track of their children's whereabouts. Utilising GPS and Wi-Fi, the device provides real-time location information on a smartphone.



The wristband features a One Step Direct Call button which lets parents contact their children easily. If a child fails to answer a call from any pre-set phone numbers within 10 seconds, KizON will automatically connect the call so the parent can listen through the built-in microphone. Children can also dial a pre-configured phone number in case they need to speak to their parents. Another important feature is the Location Reminder, which provides location alerts at specific times throughout the day. KizON, which comes in blue, pink and green, is made out of eco-friendly material that is water and stain resistant.

SONY SMARTBAND SWR10 The SmartBand SWR10 is a life logging wrist band that lets you keep track of everything you do from physical, entertainment to social activities around the clock. It is made intelligent by the Android smartphone app that automatically records activities. The life logging app will help users set activity goals and monitor progress.


The device which is in constant contact with a user's smartphone via Bluetooth will vibrate to alert if a call, message or other notification comes in. It can also be used to play, pause and skip music tracks. Even when users are out of range of their smartphones, the SmartBand saves information and automatically passes it on when re-connected. The 24/7 wearable waterproof device comes in a range of vibrant colours and styles and users can switch them daily to match their attire.

GARMIN VIVOFIT Vivofit is a lightweight fitness band designed to get you going about your daily exercise routine. The fitness band automatically greets users with a personalised daily goal, tracks their progress and reminds them when it's time to move.

When users have been sitting too long, a red bar will appear on the display after one hour to remind them of the need to move. Walking for a couple of minutes will reset the move bar, and get users out of the red. It also shows steps, goal countdown, calories, distance, and time of day. The water-resistant band which follows progress 24/7 has a replaceable battery which can last over one year and is compatible with ANT+ heart rate monitors for fitness activities.

Users can also monitor quality of rest by setting the sleep mode when they go to bed.

SAMSUNG GEAR LIVE The Gear Live is an Android-based smart watch with a 1.63 inch Super AMOLED display. The water and dust resistant watch weighs just 59 grams. Working along with smartphones running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and higher, the smart watch supported by Google Now personal assistant app can provide users with useful information like weather forecasts, traffic situations and push notifications and alerts.

Users can also interact with Gear Live via voice commands which can be activated by tapping the screen and saying "Ok Google" to ask a question and send messages. Among others, the watch listens to commands such as "Take Note" for users to dictate notes, "Remind me to ....." for reminders and "Navigate to the ...." to activate turn- by-turn navigation. The device also has a heart rate sensor packed into it.
