Tantalus Nominates Dermot O'Leary as COO [Manufacturing Close - Up]

According to a release, O'Leary joins Tantalus in this key position as the company continues to ramp up for growth and delivery of its newly enhanced communications platform, TUNet.

Dermot O'Leary is a veteran of the utility industry, with expertise in all aspects of strategic planning, product development, manufacturing and supply chain processes, customer deployments, business development, contracting, and international business. He most recently served as Executive Vice President and General Manager for the substation group at BPL Global after Serveron, a venture capital-funded start-up that provides smart utility asset and transformer monitoring, was acquired by BPL Global (BPLG) in 2007.



At Tantalus, Dermot will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations by planning, prioritizing, and directing resources to enhance both internal and customer-facing operational processes.

Tantalus provides two-way, real-time data communications networks to monitor and control electric, gas and water utilities.
