Within next few months, Singtel, along with the Huawei E5786, will be making available other LTE-Advanced enabled devices, such as smartphones and tablets. SingTel is all set to expand its LTE-Advanced network, including outdoor and in-building locations. At present, it offers coverage at Changi Airport, Singapore Expo and the area around Bugis MRT station. Further by the end of August, plans are to extend LTE-Advanced coverage in the CBD, Orchard, Shenton Way and City Hall areas. Nearly half of the island is to be covered by the end of October and one can expect nationwide coverage by the end of the first quarter of 2015. According to the information, the Huawei MiFi device is compatible with LTE-Advanced networks, with capacity to deliver data speeds of up to 300Mbps. Starting from 24 July, it will be offered from SingTel s retail outlets and online shop at $399.
