Interxion Selects BTI Systems Cloud Connect Platform [Professional Services Close - Up](Professional Services Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) BTI Systems reported that Interxion has chosen BTI's Cloud Networking Solution for its Cloud Connect platform, a new service for enterprise and service provider customers. According to a company release, the initial deployments will be in London, Frankfurt and Amsterdam with eight other markets to follow. Additionally, Interxion chose BTI to provide operations and maintenance support. "As one of Europe's leading colocation providers, it is vital that we provide our customers with direct, high-performance, low- latency connectivity to the major cloud providers," said Interxion's Vice President, Product Management and Channel Development, Mario Galvez. "Interxion's strong growth is reflected in their rapid expansion of data centers across Europe and a robust customer base," said BTI's Senior Vice President, Global Marketing, Sally Bament. Interxion's Cloud Connect leverages BTI's Cloud Networking Solution, which includes BTI's SDN-enabled packet optical platforms as well as the BTI proNX Control Software and SLA Portal. The BTI packet optical networking systems are purpose-built to unify packet and optical service delivery into one platform for network-layer consolidation, integrating MEF Carrier Ethernet compliant switching, a scalable 10G to 100G Coherent WDM optical layer and 4 Degree ROADM Dynamic Optical Layer to simplify network deployment and operations. BTI's ServiceLink Services offer Interxion the opportunity to outsource the management of the Cloud Connect platform from the same company that supplies the networking solutions.
