United States : TANGO offers $25mln fund to promote games [TendersInfo (India)]


(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Tango is providing $25 million to improve games developed on its network and to invest in developers of those apps.

Tango is the free messaging and calling company backed by Chinese Internet giant Alibaba. The initiative by the Mountain View company, led by Uri Rez and Eric Setton.

Tango stated that it now has over 40 partners and has joined between two and four new games per week. Its users send text messages, make phone and video calls and play games for free over their smartphones.



The service was developed when Apple s FaceTime video chat service was limited to customers with Wi-Fi connections. The company enabled connections over 3G cellular service. The company claims to have 200 million registered users.
