Cloud Computing Keeps Allconnect Fast and Flexible

ATLANTA --(Business Wire)--

Allconnect, a national leader in connecting consumers with essential home services, has built its entire business platform on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud. Allconnect found that cloud computing allows the company to expand with more flexibility, while significantly reducing capital expenditures.

"When we began building a new platform, we realized we could avoid a large upfront capital expenditure and easily scale up or down by using AWS. Using the cloud also increased our speed-to-market," said Mark Miller, CEO, Allconnect.

"We're excited to see organizations like Allconnect adopting the AWS cloud and benefiting from its flexibility, scalability and low costs," said Matt Wood, General Manager, Data Science at Amazon Web Services (News - Alert), Inc. "AWS is focused on innovating on behalf of our customers and we continue to deliver new features and services to further enable customers like Allconnect."

Allconnect is a leader in the industry as an adopter of what is an emerging trend. In a recent New York Times article, industry analysts at International Data Corporation said that over the next six years almost 90 percent of new spending on Internet and communications technologies - a $5 trillion global business - will be on cloud-based technology.

"Quality assurance, production, and training are ust a few of the environments that Allconnect has 'spun up in the cloud,'" says Miller. "We have 450 instances spread across more than a dozen environments in the cloud. AWS' model allows us to be nimble and responsive to the needs of both Allconnect and our partners."
