India : BSNL KOZHIKODE SSA DIVISION revealed strategy to start 26 new CSCs to serve customers better [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The Kozhikode SSA division of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced its plans to launch operations of 26 new Customer service centres (CSC) throughout the region in order to serve its customers superiorly. The division provides coverage to 3.65 million people. According to the proposal, the operations of the new CSC's at the telephone exchange buildings of Westhill, Pantheerankavu, Ramanattukara and Edachery are expected to be started soon. The two revenue districts of Kozhikode and Wayanad are parts of Kozhikode SSA division. The division operates 24 CSCs now, which are called as "company owned sales outlets" to facilitate the customers pay their bills, book new services, modify plans, as well as do recharges and top-ups. The state-run telecom firm has also strategy to secure 198,000 mobile subscribers, and the company plans to set up additional Base Tower Stations for 2G and 3G segments in order to fulfill the demands of the mobile customers during this fiscal (FY2014-15). Moreover, BSNL Kozhikode SSA aims to offer broadband connectivity to 52,000 people in this fiscal year. Apart from this strategy, it plans to set up 1,000 Fibre to the Home (FTTH) connections for the upcoming multistoried apartments in order to deliver fast internet facility, with a maximum downloading speed of 100 mbps.
