Ghana : GHANA inks partnership deal with ALEPO TECHNOLOGIES and BLU TELECOMMUNICATIONS [TendersInfo (India)]


(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Ghana has signed a partnership agreement with Alepo Technologies and BLU Telecommunications (BLU), for one more LTE network.

Alepo Technologies serves as a provider of network and IT software solutions for global communications service providers, while, BLU is a Ghanaian owned telecoms company that offers broadband to consumers in the country. For offering LTE in Ghana, BLU will be joining Surfline, the firm which in partnership with Alcatel-Lucent, was among the first to launch LTE broadband services in Ghana.



Alepo will be providing policy and charging control for a 4G/LTE network to BLU in Ghana. BLU's LTE services would include data, voice, IPTV and Wi-Fi hotspots for residential and commercial customers. However, exact date as for when the LTE services are expected to be available was not known.

Ekow Thomson, chief operating officer at BLU said, It was vital that we choose a scalable and flexible solutions provider such as Alepo, experienced in multi-service, convergent charging and policy with a strong dedication to LTE.


Dan Stern, vice president of sales at Alepo, said, Alepo has significant insight into the immediate and long-term goals of LTE service providers.

We continue to develop advanced software solutions that enable our customers to lead their markets with the delivery and monetisation of new data services and capabilities.
