CyrusOne Adds Travis County, Texas, Case Study to Its Online Library [Manufacturing Close - Up]

(Manufacturing Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) CyrusOne reported that it has added a new colocation case study to its library on www.cyrusone.com.

In its release, CyrusOne said that this case study highlights Travis County, Texas, and its search for a data center services provider.

"Our goal is to give global IT professionals the knowledge and understanding necessary to help them achieve a more efficient and reliable IT infrastructure to better support their core business goals," said Scott Brueggeman, chief marketing officer at CyrusOne. "This particular case study highlights how colocation with a reliable data center provider enabled Travis County to obtain a more secure and reliable IT environment platform for less cost than its current facility or if it had built its own data center." Travis County is the fifth largest county in the state of Texas, and operates from Austin. Over 20 cities and municipalities fall under Travis County's government jurisdiction and utilize its public services, such as emergency management, social services, parks and recreation, election processing, and district and civil court case processing.

CyrusOne reported that when Travis County's aging IT infrastructure needed to be moved out of the basement of a city building, it turned to CyrusOne for colocation services, moving its main IT footprint into CyrusOne's Austin I data center facility.

The CyrusOne data center case study library is a free resource available to business decision makers and IT professionals. Case studies will be continuously added to the library throughout 2014.

CyrusOne specializes in enterprise data center services and colocation solutions.
