DevMountain Announces Full-Time "Immersive" Web Development Bootcamp, Offers Free Housing as Perk

PROVO, Utah --(Business Wire)--

DevMountain has opened applications for its first "Immersive" (full-time) bootcamp at its Provo, Utah, location. The full-time class will increase emphasis on job readiness and a greater level of code education immersion.

The full-time class will be hosted at Camp 4 in Provo, Utah. "We're creating a Hacker Central, of sorts," Cahlan Sharp (News - Alert), CEO said. "The immersive program will offer everything an aspiring developer needs in order to become a full-stack web developer."

While most comparable coding programs in the United States are charging more than $12,000, DevMountain has capped tuition cost at $7,900. "Our goal is tomake the most impactful, accessible, and affordable camp. You can get a metro-quality coding bootcamp education for a lot more affordable price," Sharp adds.

As a unique perk, DevMountain also plans to offer free housing for bootcamp participants. "Students tell us that one of the limitations they face when they want to attend is finding safe, affordable housing," Sharp says. "Because securing a lease on an apartment on a short-term, three-month basis can be such a daunting task for someone who plans to attend from out of state, we've determined that eliminating that headache would be a great benefit to our students."

Without the worry of housing, DevMountain students can focus 100% of their attention on learning. The collaborative environment also makes it possible to socialize and interact with other students outside of class. Other perks also include a free recreation/fitness pass and a free public transportation pass.

"Many of our 'high stakes' learners are fully-invested in the concept of making their living as coders," Sharp says. "They want a program that allows them to prepare for employment opportunities, but will give them an even stronger background in a wider variety of coding languages--attributes that make them especially attractive candidates for highly-compensated positions in the technology field. No other schooling option currently offers a dedicated, invested student a similar fast track to success and job security, and while other coding bootcamps charge more, we are convinced that our curriculum is equally as robust."

The first course will be limited to 20 students and will begin September 8, 2014. Financing for the course is available.
