Notice of Appointment: Francois-Nicolas Carrier is Named Director, Corporate Human Resources at Groupe Morneau


(Marketwire (Canada) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - July 14, 2014) - Groupe Morneau, a key player in Canada's transport industry, is proud to announce the appointment of Mr. Francois-Nicolas Carrier to Director of Human Resources for Groupe Morneau. He will contribute to developing the organization's HR structure, participate in establishing HR function objectives, and support Groupe Morneau' transition and expansion as it accesses new markets. Moreover, he will ensure continuity with HR functions, promotional activities, and the standardization of processes, policies and practices across all of Groupe Morneau's business units.



Francois-Nicolas Carrier graduated from Laval University in industrial relations and started his career as a human resources consultant in 1999 with a company now owned by Groupe Morneau, Eskimo Express Inc., where he was promoted to Assistant Director of Operations in early 2001. Pursuing further professional challenges led Mr. Carrier to the Compagnie miniere Quebec Cartier, a mining company located in Port-Cartier and Fermont where he sharpened his human resources expertise as a consultant from 2002 to 2008; he acted as Senior Advisor and Head of the HR department for more than two years. Most recently, Francois-Nicolas joined the Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC), owned by Rio Tinto, where he occupied the roles of Senior Advisor, Employee Relations, and Senior Business Partner, Human Resources.

Mr. Carrier will be assigned to the Quebec City office.
