American Modern Celebrates National Collector Car Appreciation Day By Unveiling 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Restored By Its Staff
AMELIA, Ohio --(Business Wire)--
In concert with National Collector Car Appreciation Day, American
Modern Insurance Group®, a leading speciality insurance organization
known for its collector car coverage, unveiled the completed restoration
of a 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS, during a collector car show held
Thursday, July 10 in Amelia, OH.

The car, which the company calls "Ami G.," an acronym for American
Modern Insurance Group, came to the company badly damaged and destined
for the scrap yard. Over the last 20 months the car has gotten a second
chance and has been fully restored through a collective undertaking by
more than 100 American Modern® employees.
The project and resulting online video series, branded The
Build, was filmed at American Modern's® training
facility. The series can be seen on American Modern's® YouTube

needs of collector vehicle owners," said American Modern® President and

The process involved totally disassembling the car and putting it on a
rotisserie so that every part could be restored. All of the work (except
for the engine) was completed internally at American Modern®.
The Unveiling of Ami
To celebrate completion of the project, and to reveal the final results
of all the work on 'Ami,' American Modern hosted a collector car show at
its headquarters in Amelia where classic cars owned by American Modern®
employees were on display.
