WZCC Event Panel Discussion: 'Outlook and Implications of the Indian Economy in Global Context'

It was an engaging session with several points of view raised by the participants, with inputs from the moderator Kothavala as well. It was generally agreed that the outlook for the Indian economy seemed positive, spurred by recent political change.

There was active participation from the audience made up of WZCC members and their guests.

The panelists were: Deepak Mohoni, leading stock market analyst Mark Luckey, offshore IT development specialist, and director of Storyboard Multimedia, Australia Suhasini Kirloskar, marketing strategist and communications professional Zubin Kabraji, head - Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, Pune 'There is optimism about the new 'corporate friendly' government at the center, and it's expected to have a positive impact on the Indian economy in the long term,' said Umeed Kothavala. 'Hopefully India will regain the momentum it had a decade ago, attract even more foreign investment, and get a larger share of global trade.' The WZCC event's guest of honor was Mr. Farhad Forbes, director of Forbes Marshall. During the evening, there was an awards ceremony for outstanding young Zarathushti entrepreneurs. In addition, eminent Zarathushti industrialist Dara Damania of ThyssenKrupp was honored by WZCC.
