United States : EMC acquires TwinStrata for managing resources jointly [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) EMC announced that it has taken over TwinStrata, developer of a software platform (called CloudArray) which assures a nexus within on-premise storage and public cloud storage providers, and also enables the resources to be handled together. CloudArray endorses automatic cloud replication, local caching for high-use data, and integration with 3rd-party backup software, the endorsed cloud providers covers Amazon, Google, Rackspace, and IBM/SoftLayer. As per EMC, through the high-end VMAX systems, it'll incorporate CloudArray and thereby provide an "embedded cloud data service" for VMAX.
