NCQA Names New VP To Lead Product Delivery

WASHINGTON --(Business Wire)--

The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) announced today that James LaFlamme has joined the organization as its new Vice President of Product Delivery, leading a department whose evaluations of health plans, physician practices and other health care entities are the core of NCQA's business.

LaFlamme succeeds Kathleen C. Mudd, who is retiring after 19 years of outstanding service at NCQA.

LaFlamme brings to NCQA extensive senior management, executive leadership and operations expertise from a variety of health care settings. "James has an excellent record leading health care improvement and we are thrilled that he is joining our team," said NCQA President, Margaret E. O'Kane. "His experience leading change in diverse health care settings makes him a vital asset for NCQA as we help our customers improve health care quality."

LaFlamme comes to NCQA from PricewaterhouseCoopers (News - Alert) (PwC), where he was Director of the Healthcare Advisory Public Sector Practice and improved results for clients that included commercial hospital systems and the Veterans Health Administration.

He earned a BS degree in Pharmacy from the University of Connecticut and a MS degree in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
