(OTC Pink: WLAN), a next generation telecommunications provider, today announced that it has been chosen as a finalist in the RISE:NYC competition to provide wireless technology solutions to New York City including the installation of Wialan's Early Warning System (WEWS) at selected locations in New York. http://rise-nyc.com/finalists/ RISE: NYC aims to award up to $30 million for the implementation of multiple selected projects that make New York City businesses more resilient to the impacts of future storms, sea level and other effects of climate change. It is envisioned that individual projects will receive between $500,000 and $10 million each, though applications requesting funds outside of this range will also be considered.



RISE:NYC is designed to identify and deploy new technologies and solutions that drive business recovery and resilience by better protecting New York City from the impacts of future storms, sea level rise and other effects of climate change. The competition seeks projects that implement innovative measures to strengthen the city's building systems and telecommunications networks.
