Superior Court of California, County of Alameda, Selects Tyler Technologies' Odyssey Case Management System

PLANO, Texas --(Business Wire)--

Tyler Technologies (News - Alert), Inc. (NYSE: TYL) today announced that the Superior Court of California, County of Alameda, has chosen Tyler's Odyssey® court case management software suite to modernize case management operations and replace multiple legacy systems, including a decades-old solution.

"The Alameda Superior Court is excited about the selection of Tyler and the implementation of the Odyssey case management system for most court case types," said Alameda's Presiding Judge Winifred Smith. "The comprehensive functionality and ease of use that Odyssey affords will support the court in making significant gains in the areas of e-filing, paperless recordkeeping, and 21st century calendar and docket management."

Alameda Superior Court selected Odyssey for multiple case types, including criminal, civil, family, probate, small claims and mental health. The court also selected Odyssey SessionWorks® Judge and Clerk editions to improve in-courtroom procesing efficiencies and present data digitally to clerks and judges, including on the bench via touch-screen technology. To date, 23 California superior courts have announced that they have chosen Tyler's Odyssey court management solution.

Alameda Superior Court used the state's Master Services Agreement that gives California's 58 superior courts the ability to purchase Tyler's Odyssey integrated court case management system at pre-negotiated terms, conditions and pricing outlined in the MSA. The MSA was developed by a group of IT leaders and court managers within the California judicial system as a way for the state's superior courts to efficiently purchase a case management system.

"We are proud that the Alameda Superior Court selected Odyssey, and look forward to a long partnership with this important group of court leaders," said Bruce Graham, president of Tyler's Courts & Justice Division.

The Alameda Superior Court is the eighth-largest court in California and has approximately 800 employees and 85 judicial officers. Alameda County, home to the city of Oakland, is located on the east side of the San Francisco Bay and has a population of more than 1.5 million.

In total, Odyssey serves more than 100 million residents, a third of the U.S. population, in more than 600 counties across 21 states. Odyssey has been successfully deployed statewide in Indiana, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota and South Dakota; statewide implementations in Idaho, Maryland, Oregon, Rhode Island and Washington are currently underway.
