(Press Democrat, The (Santa Rosa, CA) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) June 28--Lemo USA, a Rohnert Park company that designs and manufactures custom connectors, announced a deal Friday to acquire Northwire Inc., a Wisconsin company that makes specialized cables.
Both companies will continue to operate separately, said Julie Carlson, marketing manager for Lemo USA. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The Northwire acquisition will allow Lemo to provide a complete cable-connector solution to its customers, said Alexandre Pesci, CEO and president of the Lemo Group.
"I am convinced that by creating synergy between our two companies, we can grow and prosper side-by-side," Pesci said in a statement.
Lemo USA is a subsidiary of Lemo, a Swiss family-owned company founded in 1946. Its connectors are found in a variety of devices, including medical, industrial control, test and measurement, audio-video and telecommunications products throughout the world.
Northwire, founded in 1972, is based in Osceola, Wisc., with a second facility in Santa Teresa, N.M. It makes specialty cables used in energy, life sciences, aerospace and defense, government, industrial, machine vision, architectural lighting and underwater applications.
