BRIEF: Princeton man pleads guilty to child porn charge [St. Cloud Times, Minn. :: ]


(St. Cloud Times (MN) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) June 26--MINNEAPOLIS -- A Princeton man has pleaded guilty to distribution of child pornography, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Minnesota.

William C.E. Strobel, 32, was indicted in February 2010 and made his plea before a federal judge Tuesday.

In his plea agreement, Strobel admitted he accessed file-sharing programs and traded images and videos of sexual exploitation of children.

He admitted he had on digital media 20,000 images and more than 600 videos of minors engaged in sexual conduct, according the U.S. Attorney's Office Strobel could get up to 40 years in prison, the U.S. Attorney's Office said. U.S. District Judge Donovan Frank is scheduled to sentence him at a later date.




The FBI and Princeton police worked on the case. Assistant U.S Attorney Karen B. Schommer prosecuted the case.
