As Vice President of Corporate Development, Steve Pattison will be responsible for all strategic third party business development and corporate development relationships to drive growth for the company's existing lines of Enterprise Session Border Controller (ESBC) products, and the new Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) based products currently in development. He will report to Edgewater Networks CEO Dave Norman.

"Steve is a seasoned industry veteran and an outstanding addition to the Edgewater team," said Norman. "I look forward to his contributions as we extend our market focus beyond our core Enterprise Session Border Controller product portfolio into Software Defined Networking and align with strategic partners in that ecosystem."

Pattison comes to Edgewater Networks with more than two decades of leadership experience in the high tech and services industries spanning executive positions in business and corporate development, marketing, product managment and sales. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Business Development at Polycom (News - Alert), where he was responsible for all third party technology partnerships and industry solutions development and marketing activities at the company. He has over ten years of experience in the enterprise video and unified communications technology markets, including deep knowledge of the rich media capture, collaboration, publishing and network delivery spaces. Edgewater recently raised $5.9 million in debt financing to expand its portfolio of communications products for service providers with the development of new solutions utilizing SDN and NFV technologies. These new services will complement the more than 250,000 Edgewater ESBCs that are currently deployed by leading service providers and integrators, including one of the two largest U.S. carriers and three of the top five U.S. cable operators. To further support the new product line, Edgewater recently added John Macario (News - Alert) as its Vice President of Marketing. Macario will work closely with Pattison to develop Edgewater's overall product strategy.
