Qatars Ooredoo hits 150,000 fibre users [CommsMEA (United Arab Emirates)]

(CommsMEA (United Arab Emirates) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Qatar's incumbent telecoms operator Qatar has announced that it now has 150,000 direct fibre access subscribers for its broadband Internet and 'Mozaic' IPTV services.

Only six months previously the telco reported 100,000 subscribers on the fibre network.

'Ooredoo Fibre' packages include fixed voice, broadband Mozaic high-definition (HD) TV channels and access to the multi-screen add-on 'Mozaic GO', which delivers content through Wi-Fi and Ooredoo's mobile network.

Ooredoo also announced plans to launch other bespoke user packages before the end of the calendar year.  (c) 2014 ITP Business Publishing Ltd. All Rights Reserved. Provided by SyndiGate Media Inc. (Syndigate.info).
