FLIPKART TO OFFER DATA, MARKETING SUPPORT TO HELP SMEs SCALE UP(Indian Business Insight Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Online marketplace Flipkart of Bangalore has tied up with small and medium enterprise (SME) promotion bodies to boost manufacturing and entrepreneurship in India. It has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Federation of Indian Micro and Small and Medium Enterprises (FISME) that promotes SMEs, and with National Center for Design and Product Development (NCDPD) that promotes handicraft design. Flipkart will provide micro, small and medium entrepreneurs in India infrastructural support in data analytics, marketing and customer acquisition to help them scale their business. It will help 50,000 SMEs and artisans become self-reliant, improve their living standards and scale their business manifold. The move will help Flipkart in expanding its seller base and brand name across the SME landscape in India. |
