Technical Innovation Wins 2014 Integration Award for Best House of Worship Project for Recent Broadcast Design and Integration

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) June 19, 2014 The Commercial Integrator BEST Awards program recognizes integrators for exceptional work in a variety of categories. The magazine focuses on installations, products, and the business of commercial integration for integrators serving a multitude of verticals. Winners are selected by a panel of industry experts, integrators, and the editors of Commercial Integrator based on a project's creativity, innovation, functionality, incorporated equipment, obstacles overcome, client's priorities met, aesthetics, and benefits. The 2014 CI Award for Best House of Worship went to Technical Innovation's Blue Hat Design team, a specialized division that works exclusively to meet the broadcast related needs of the worship community, for their recent work with 12Stone Church. "Technical Innovation Broadcast Solutions Group is always thrilled and honored to partner with 12Stone," says Michael Wright, President of Technical Innovation Broadcast Solutions Group. "Supporting and enabling community leaders to fully realize their goals and then seeing their successes ripple through the community is truly the greatest reward when we work with houses of worship." With more than twenty worship services every weekend across four campuses spread across metro Atlanta to a congregation of more than 30,000 parishioners, 12Stone wanted the ability to distribute live teachings in real-time to all campuses while also being able to broadcast from one of two possible locations at a moment's notice.

With the already substantial project nearly completed and just sixty days to address the hefty last minute additions, the team "time slipped" the teachings at each of the remote locations by a few minutes, allowing the live, in-person worship to conclude at its own natural pace instead of trying to establish specific end times. Since their media operation depends on a large number of dedicated volunteers every service, the technology incorporated needed to be robust and require little involvement. Essentially the pipeline for transmission to the remote sites had to be open at all times so that the primary job of the media staff and volunteers remained the production of high quality content. Remote sites needed to simply appear as any other destination on the house router at the hub. Similarly at the remote sites, the teaching feed needed to simply look and feel like any other local source on their IMAG switcher. They wanted the time slip function to feel as easy and user friendly as operating a DVR.

To enable the pastor's ability to preach from one of the two main campuses at a moment's notice, the team had to facilitate a level of operational flexibility that would permit both locations to serve as hub OR spoke system on any given day. However the flexibility of the systems demanded a common set of production tools so that the production staff could move easily between campuses as needed and produce content with a predictable quality.

Upon completion, both of the "live teaching campuses" are fully equipped for HD video production, housing broadcast-quality video production control rooms with traditional tools, separate audio-for-video control rooms, edit suites, and worship spaces fully outfitted with professional sound systems, theatrical lighting and multiple points for camera connectivity in the main worship center.

This award recognizes Technical Innovation's professional expertise and relentless dedication to achieving client goals. "12Stone Church has fostered and nurtured a vision of growth in the greater Atlanta area, and Blue Hat Design has been honored to partner with them in helping to make that vision a reality for all of their campuses," says Tom Larrison, Project Development Consultant with Blue Hat Design. "The recent projects at new John C. Maxwell Leadership Center at 12Stone Church and the 12Stone Church Hamilton Mill Campus are marvelous examples of partnering The Gospel with technology tools to impact lives locally and around the world." While this project is a shining success for all involved, 12Stone plans to challenge and test Technical Innovation still as they plan for additional campuses in 2015.

The winners were officially announced during InfoComm 2014. Mike Landrum, Technical Innovation CEO, was present to accept this monumental award.
