Società Editrice Athesis Invests in Atex Content

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) (PRWEB UK) 18 June 2014 Atex, the leading global software provider for media-rich enterprises, announces that Società Editrice Athesis, the leading publisher group in the Italian North East, has selected Atex Content to introduce a multi channel content management system and to renew their digital publishing infrastructure.

Società Editrice Athesis publishes three daily newspapers: "L'Arena", "Il Giornale di Vicenza" and "Brescia Oggi." The Group is also active in broadcasting with TeleArena, Brescia.TV, TeleMantova and RadioVerona. The group web sites, "L'Arena.it", "Il Giornale di Vicenza.it", "BresciaOggi.it" and "Radio Verona.it" are popular in the region but also experience important national and international accesses.

Società Editrice Athesis objective is now to improve and increase its offering to the readers on all media, creating a new cross channel strategy that will follow them through their consumption experience between traditional and digital products.

The contract includes Atex Content H-11, Atex Polopoly Web Portal and Applix Viewer+, the project will start in June 2014 with a prospected completion in a few months. Giovanni Guarneri, Sales Directory Italy, cannot hide his satisfaction for the deal - "Gruppo Athesis has been thoroughly evaluating the market opportunities and it makes me very proud they have selected Atex." The group publishes regional newspapers with a very well recognized brand and a strong and loyal readers base but they are facing the growing competition of local web sites and social networks that are nowadays very efficient in quickly spreading news and information in local communities. A new working environment will let the newsrooms be more agile in gathering and creating news, even while working on the field, and in promoting and distributing them over traditional, digital and social channels, with an attention to new devices like tablets and smartphones.

The tablet publishing opportunities offered by the Atex partnership with Applix will provide a workflow transparently integrated in the newsroom processes that will target all the major mobile platforms.
