(DNA : Daily News & Analysis (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) IT Dindee calls for youth participation A group of professionals from Pune, mainly from the Information Technology(IT) field got together and have started "IT Dindee". Every year this "IT Dindee" is organised by these enthusiastic working professionals just to experience the spiritual walk along with the waari, which starts from Alandi till Pune city, covering over 20 Kms. This year, the Palkhi starts from Alandi for Pune on Saturday June 21, 2014.



Waari is a holy pilgrimage in Maharashtra (India) and the participants in the Waari are called 'Warkaris'. Dindee is a small group of warkaris in the Waari. All dindis combined is called Waari. "Just like people from other countries organise walking events, Waari," says one IT professional, "is Maharashtra's age-old tradition which kindles devotion, takes away worries and gives spiritual experience of oneness with our society and nation." A total of 225 IT Dindee Members walked between Alandi and Pune on July 1, 2013.

In order to increase the participant level and create awareness, the organisers of this IT Dindee are requesting many other professionals to join. This years event is on Saturday, 21st June, being a weekly off - many are requested not to miss the great spiritual event, in the rains if it starts. Youths are invited to come and join the IT Dindee in large numbers.


Vehicle arrangements to drop participants to Alandi in the early morning from Pune will be made available if names are registered before June 19 by filling the form available on www.waari.org. Even non-IT persons can join the IT Dindee 2014.

Bharatnatyam master from the academy, Vihar Gupte's skillful choreography enthralled the audience with an ensemble cast of 30 students along with herself. The dance sequence, costumes, music and the light effects came across as a spectacle to the viewers. The students of the academy gave a confident performance that showed the amount of hard work put by the team. The classical ballet conveyed that in today's world the concept of a bond is very important and hence needs to be respected and cherished.

The programme was well appreciated by spectators, who asked for more such performances in the future in the city.

The hard work put in by the Bharatnatyam dancers showed in the performances.

AIESEC Pune to host national conference AIESEC in Pune is hosting their June National Conference in Goa from the 27 June to the 2 July. ICICI academy for skills joins hands with leaders ICICI Academy for Skills, an institute set up by the ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth (ICICI Foundation) to create sustainable livelihood for the youth, announces the signing of agreements with Spencers Retail, Bluechip Corporate Investment Centre and AkzoNobel India. While Spencers Retail and Bluechip Corporate Investment Centre will provide employment opportunities to the eligible students of ICICI Academy, AkzoNobel will be a knowledge partner and will assist the Academy in setting up a new course and building the course curriculum. The programme with industry leaders will boost employment.
