Skyhigh Enlists 50 Cloud Service Providers for CloudTrust Program [Manufacturing Close - Up]

(Manufacturing Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Skyhigh Networks reported more than 50 cloud service providers (CSPs) who are rated Skyhigh Enterprise-Ready have joined the Skyhigh CloudTrust Program since its launch in January 2014.

In its release, Skyhigh said that it evaluates thousands of CSPs and grants the Skyhigh Enterprise-Ready seal only to those CSPs who fully satisfy the most stringent requirements for data protection, identity verification, service security, business practices, and legal protection.

"We found that our employees were using multiple file-sharing services and that many of these services posed a risk to the organization," said Brian Lillie, CIO of Equinix. "We selected the most popular service rated Skyhigh Enterprise-Ready which was the obvious choice from both a productivity and security standpoint. The CloudTrust rating reduced a process that takes months down to a few hours." "The use of cloud services is often not approved because there is a feeling that cloud service security is insufficient universally," said Rajiv Gupta, CEO of Skyhigh Networks. "While security is lacking for many cloud services, 7 percent of cloud service providers have invested time and resources in developing services that adhere to rigorous enterprise security requirements. We started the Skyhigh CloudTrust program to highlight these services and ease the cloud adoption lifecycle for CIOs and IT departments." "The security and compliance of our customers, employees and partners is a top priority at 8x8. After achieving third party validated compliance with a majority of the most stringent security standards, including HIPAA, PCI, CPNI, FISMA, FIPS and other regulatory requirements, we wanted to ensure that we had nationally recognized third party validation for our cloud security. After careful review and verification for Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) compliance, we turned to Skyhigh Networks for their Enterprise Ready CloudTrust Rating. The Skyhigh CloudTrust Program was an obvious choice to protect the intellectual property, personal identifiable information and integrity for those who rely on 8x8." - Michael McAlpen, executive director of security and compliance, 8x8, Inc "Accellion is the leading provider of secure, private cloud mobile solutions that enhance productivity for corporations and government agencies around the world. Our mission is to ensure that security and ease-of-use can coexist within enterprise solutions, so they benefit both end users and IT departments. We're thrilled to work with Skyhigh Networks to ensure that organizations are deploying only secure, enterprise-ready cloud solutions within their networks." - Vidhya Ranganathan, senior vice president of product, Accellion "At Aerohive, we realize how critical it is to secure the sensitive data flowing through wireless infrastructure in today's mobility revolution. From the beginning, we have invested in an end- to-end approach to baking comprehensive security into our architecture, both in our hardware and software. Our cloud-based solution has been designed to take advantage of other security systems in place within an enterprise to eliminate security blind spots. We're thrilled our commitment to providing enterprises with network edge security has been recognized as Enterprise-Ready by Skyhigh CloudTrust's stringent security criteria." - Abby Hassel Strong, director of product marketing, Aerohive More information and complete details: www.skyhighnetworks.com ((Comments on this story may be sent to [email protected])) (c) 2014 ProQuest Information and Learning Company; All Rights Reserved.
