Luxoft to Support Multi-Standard Connectivity for Automotive Infotainment Systems

NEW YORK --(Business Wire)--

Luxoft Holding, Inc (NYSE:LXFT US), a leading provider of software development services and innovative IT solutions to a global client base, today announced the support for the Apple (News - Alert) CarPlay® and MirrorLink™ connectivity standards by Luxoft's TEORA automotive human machine interface (HMI) development tool chain. These connectivity standards link smartphones, tablets, and wearable devices to car infotainment systems and join TEORA in addition to the existing support of the GENIVI SmartDeviceLink (SDL) implementations.

"It is clear that multiple connectivity standards will coexist in a car in order to accommodate the users' needs," said Serkan Arslan, Luxoft's Global Director of Automotive Business Development. "Whether a person prefers an Apple device or an Android (News - Alert), it will be about the seamless user experience. At Luxoft, we create advanced digital cockpits that bring together instrument cluster, head unit and mobile devices, and work with different connectivity standards. Our goal is to design the HMI systems that will integrate multiple screens in a safe and efficient way. To make the implementation of such systems easier and more cost-efficient, we developed TEORA, a set of tools for creating an in-vehicle user experince."

TEORA is a software platform that Luxoft uses to develop scalable, appealing, and swift-to-market car HMI implementations. TEORA is Luxoft's "knowhow" that powers the development of new UX and HMI projects, and benefits clients by helping to achieve significant time savings.

TEORA comes with a perfectly aligned tool chain, including tailor-made applications with interfaces to standard platforms, such as Adobe (News - Alert) Photoshop or Flash, to transfer simple graphics into interactive objects in the most efficient way. The multi-rendering approach enables a seamless integration of mixed 2D, 3D, Qt, Adobe Flash, and HTML5 content in one platform to match Luxoft's customers' requirements perfectly. TEORA has already been ported to Windows, QNX, and Linux.

Luxoft is to demonstrate its reference design platform at the 18th International Congress on Advances in Automotive Electronics in Ludwigsburg, Germany, at booth #24 on June 03-04, and at the Telematics Detroit 2014 exhibition and conference, where the Company is the Infotainment Sponsor, at booth #56 on June 04-05.
