Bill Gates and Nathan Myhrvold Participate in The LAGRANT Foundation's First-Ever Auctions


LOS ANGELES --(Business Wire)--

Bill Gates (News - Alert) and Nathan Myhrvold will participate in The LAGRANT Foundation's (TLF) first-ever auctions. TLF will launch two auctions where the highest bidder for the first auction can meet Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft (News - Alert), member of the Microsoft Board of Directors and co-chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the highest bidder of the second auction can meet Nathan Myhrvold, founder & CEO of Intellectual Ventures (News - Alert). All proceeds from the auctions will benefit TLF's programs including scholarships, career & professional development workshops, internships and entry-level career opportunities for ethnic minorities college students pursuing careers in advertising, marketing or public relations.

The auction to bid on the experience with Bill Gates will begin on June 1 and end on June 30 and the auction to bid on the experience with Nathan Myhrvold will begin on July 1 and end on July 31 on TLF's website via www.lagrantfoundation.org/Auction. The starting bid for both auctions is $2,500. Each experience requires a separate bid. The Bill Gates auction includes an opportunity to have a photo with Bill Gates and a signed Xbox for the winner to take home. This experience also includes a staff-guided tour of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The experience with Nathan Myhrvold includes a unique culinary tour of Nathan's Cooking Lab and the opportunity to experience his team's culinary samples from Modernist Cuisine.
