Radiant Logic Announces CFS 3.0, an On-Premises IdP Supporting Multi-Tenancy

HOUSTON --(Business Wire)--

Radiant Logic, market-leading provider of a federated identity and context service based on virtualization, today announces at Microsoft (News - Alert) TechEd in Houston, the Cloud Federation Service (CFS), a multi-tenant "on-premises IdP" for large enterprises, is certified as a third-party SSO provider for Microsoft cloud services including Microsoft Azure and Office 365. RadiantOne CFS is a Security Token Service (STS) that enables enterprises to secure access to cloud-based applications-even when identities are scattered across disparate authentication sources beyond just Active Directory.

"The majority of our customers who are trying to provide SSO to cloud applications have users stored in many places, such as Sun/Oracle (News - Alert) directories or SQL databases," said Michel Prompt, CEO at Radiant Logic. "CFS extends access to Azure and Office 356 making it easier for large enterprises dealing with multiple identity sources beyond just Active Directory. Coupled with our virtualization layer, CFS supports the kind of federation today's organizations need."

While Microsoft ADFS can federate identities across multiple Active Directory forests and domains, CFS acts as a complementary service, going above and beyond. CFS integrates with ADFS, and extends user accounts by providing additional attributes from other data sources for more robust authorization.

By turning disparate, fragmented identity ifrastructures into one logical identity provider, CFS simplifies the process of federation and single sign-on for cloud applications. CFS identifies users, routes and authenticates against the local sources, and collects attributes from multiple data stores to build security tokens that meet the unique needs of each Service Provider (SP) or Relying Party (RP).

With CFS, enterprises can build a secure federated infrastructure, offering single access point that connects all internal identity and authentication sources to the growing world of cloud applications.

RadiantOne CFS 3.0:

  • Provides a multi-tenant service allowing companies to host third-party identity data on premises. This offers access to a greater user population and turns your enterprise into an IdP.
  • Enables authentication from social networks such as Facebook and Twitter, as well as Google Apps, PayPal (News - Alert), and other identity providers.
  • Authenticates via a number of protocols including SAML, WS-Federation and Trust, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
  • Offers two-form factor authentication, making it more difficult for hackers to access an account using only a password.
  • Delivers SSO both inside and outside the firewall, so users can sign on securely from remote locations and still access all their applications.
  • Allows tenants to easily manage users and groups through a user-friendly interface and allows users to self-register.
  • Offers more security with Level of Assurance (LOA) and Circle of Trust features adding additional layers of access control and enabling authorization decisions based on the levels you assign to authentication methods, applications, and locations.
