NetBoss Technologies, Inc. Appoints John Lee as Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Sebastian, FL (PRWEB) May 12, 2014 NetBoss Technologies, Inc., a leading supplier of network management and service assurance solutions to network operators around the world, announced today the appointment of OSS industry veteran John Lee as Chief Technology Officer to lead the company's portfolio expansion and transformation plans.

"The communications service provider (CSP) industry as a whole is at a crossroads right now. With Over-the-Top (OTT) internet services eating into their core revenue streams, every one of our customers wants to know how we can help them reinvent their business models," said Jim Odom, President and Chief Executive Officer of NetBoss Technologies. "We've been working with John on how we as a company need to strategically position ourselves to serve the needs of our customers as the telecommunications, internet, and e-commerce industries continue to converge, and sometimes collide. We believe that one key to the CSP's future business model is to continuously optimize the monetization of their network; taking into account OTT services and the effect they have on revenue. With John's help, we have developed a visionary portfolio and corporate strategy that we believe will be a game changer for both NetBoss and our customers. Bringing John in to oversee the execution of both the portfolio and corporate transformation was an easy decision; his track record speaks for itself." Prior to joining NetBoss, Mr. Lee, was co-founder and Managing Partner for TeleMedia Strategy Group, a consulting firm specializing in convergence strategy for the Telecommunications, Entertainment, Media, Gaming, Healthcare, and e-commerce industries. Earlier, he founded Strategy, Digital Services, and Service Management (OSS) consulting practices for Amdocs, in addition to developing Amdocs' OSS penetration strategy that resulted in the US$375M acquisition of Cramer Systems, and Amdocs being named the top OSS company in the world in 2006 by OSS Observer. Mr. Lee's experience base includes executive positions in telecommunications service providers (GTE, AT&T, CapRock Communications), systems integrators (Amdocs, Wang Global, Tubedale, John Lee & Associates), and B/OSS software providers (Amdocs, Viryanet, FieldDispatch.com, One Network Enterprises). He is the author of Integrating Service Level Agreements: Optimizing Your OSS for SLA Delivery and the inventor of a US patent pending for "Digital Download Certification." "I'm very excited to be joining NetBoss at such an important time in their evolution and in the evolution of the industry. Over the past few months, I've been able to work with the management team to craft the new portfolio strategy," said Mr. Lee. "I realized early-on that the NetBoss StateWise correlation engine and what it could correlate--real-time network performance, fault, and services data--to be compelling. But by adding subscriber, SLA, and billing data to the correlation mix, then driving the correlated network/subscriber info into an analytics platform for contextual orientation and presentation, we can now produce real-time financially correlated network data. That's exactly what's needed to move to the QoS and SLA-driven service models that will allow the CSP to optimize their customer mix and revenue production in real-time. And that's where CSPs have to be in order to fight OTT contention." "The capability to finally relate real-time network utilization as revenue instead of bits and bytes, and understanding the opportunity cost of each megabyte could very well change everything for CSPs, from their product catalogs, to their marketing, to the way they cooperate (or don't) with the Over-the-Top providers," summarized Mr. Odom. "Stay tuned. There's a lot more to come." About NetBoss Technologies, Inc.
