Slovenia, Portugal, Thailand, Japan discuss cooperation with Iran's Chamber of Commerce [Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) (Iran)]

(Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) (Iran) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) TEHRAN (ISNA)- Several delegations from Slovenia, Portugal, Thailand and Japan visited Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) to discuss ways for the further expansion of ties with officials of the organization in separate meetings. During a meeting, Slovanian Parliament Speaker Yanku Webber and private sector representatives expressed their willingness to cooperate with Iranian companies, and highlighted promotion of relations with Iranian traders as the aim of their mission. Head of ICCIMA Gholam Hossein Shafei taking part in the session said "In recent years Iran and Slovenia had enjoyed vast bilateral relations and mutual cooperation in different fields." In another meeting, Deputy Managing Director of Japan's Cooperation Center for the Middle East Masayuki Amemiya met Director General of Asia Pacific of Iran Chamber's Foreign Affairs and expressed hope that the two sides could expand economic ties and hold further kaizen management workshops usually held biannually. In separate session, Member of Board of AEP Eng.Jorge Reis along with traders and companies met ICCIMA Vice President Pedram Soltani and ICCIMA Vice President for Foreign Affair Aliakbar Farazi where the two sides agreed to enhance ties. A team of Portuguese traders working actively in food industry, cable manufacturing and design of heavy machinery discussed ways for maturing relations with ICCIMA officials to find partners and establish relationships with Iranian companies. Thailand ambassador to Iran along with Head of Chamber of Commerce of Thailand met with Vice President for International Affairs Aliakbar Farazi and discussed revitalizing partnership with Iran. They also agreed to establish joint commission to enlarge their cooperation and implement previous agreements. Traders and businessmen in various fields, including handicraft, jewelry and furniture conferred on ways to employ their capabilities and participate in exhibitions.
