Silver Spring Networks Congratulates Customer Sacramento Municipal Utility District on Peak Load Management Alliance Awards WinREDWOOD CITY, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- Silver Spring Networks, Inc. SMUD has run a broad range of demand side management pilot programs on Silver Spring's networking platform that supported a wide range of in-home devices. SMUD's objective was to provide savings opportunities to customers through granular insights into their energy usage to achieve peak load reduction. Two-way programmable communication thermostats ere used across the Silver Spring Networks' HCM platform and smart grid network to deliver a number of residential and small commercial demand response programs to over 800 customers. In addition, innovative electric vehicle charging and demand response programs leveraged the same network.
