FAIRFAX, Va. --(Business Wire)--

The American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC (News - Alert)), the premier public-private partnership in the government IT community, today announced the keynote speakers, panel session speakers, and program agenda for the 34th Annual Management of Change (MOC) education and training event. The event will focus on strategies to shift current perception and position the government brand as a creator of breakthrough innovation. MOC 2014 will be held on May 18-20, 2014 at the Hyatt Chesapeake in Cambridge, Md.

Featured keynote speakers will include notable government leaders, including retired Army Gen. Keith Alexander, former Commander, U.S. Cyber Command and former Director of the National Security Agency (News - Alert), retired U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Allison Hickey, Under Secretary for Benefits at the Department of Veteran Affairs and Seth Harris, Former Acting U.S. Secretary of Labor and Deputy U.S. Secretary of Labor.

MOC 2014 will provide a forum for leading industry and government IT experts to discuss new technologies, policies, and strategies that will be key in redefining the government brand and propelling the next generation of government. Panel speakers will include key figures from both the public and private sectors, including: Avi Bender, CTO, U.S. Census; Paul Bajinder, CIO, Federal Trade Commission (FTC (News - Alert)); Deborah Diaz, Deputy CIO, NASA; Leo Wong, Deputy CISO, U.S. Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service (USDA FNS); eth Beck, Open Innovation Program Manager, NASA; Lorraine Landfried, Deputy CIO, Product Development, Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and many more.



The program will provide attendees with the opportunity to share insights and learn about strategies for improving efficiency and effectiveness, while earning Continuing Education Units and Professional Development Units to advance their careers. The event will attract over 400 attendees while maintaining a 1:3 government to industry ratio. This year's agenda will include a variety of collaborative workshops, labs, and pods, including:

  • Innovation lab - Bringing together the best minds in government and industry to share information and develop ideas that will change the face of government IT.
  • Workshop pods - These break-out sessions will allow participants to interact in a more intimate setting to tackle issues from each of the workshop tracks.
  • Incubation lab - Collaborative sessions designed to develop roadmaps for delivering tangible results in the government ecosystem.
