Film Chronicling Rise of China's Alibaba Group Set for May 28 Worldwide Release

Taluswood Films announced today that its award-winning documentary, Crocodile in the Yangtze: The Alibaba Story, will be released worldwide on May 28, 2014. An independent memoir directed and produced by a former Alibaba insider, the film follows China's first Internet entrepreneur and former English teacher, Jack Ma as he grows Alibaba from a small apartment into China's first global Internet company, battling- and beating - eBay (News - Alert) in China along the way.

Since its sold-out World Premiere at the 2012 Sonoma International Film Festival, Crocodile in the Yangtze has traveled to 20 film festivals, garnering several awards including "Best Documentary" at the San Francisco United Film Festival and "Best Film on Entrepreneurship" at the Silicon Valley Film Festival. To date, the film has screened to audiences of students and entrepreneurs in more than 50 cities on six continents.
