AOS 2014 Brings Influx of Visitors and Revenue to Providence

(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 18 April 2014 Release date- 16042014 - Warwick, R.I. - Atrion's AlwaysOn Symposium on April 3rd brought hundreds of international business leaders, two of the nation's best-selling authors, and a half a million dollars in revenue to the city of Providence, while inspiring companies to achieve radically better outcomes by encouraging technology and business professionals to reshape their beliefs and work more collaboratively.

'Our goal isn't just to inspire you, or help you change your organization, it's to give you valuable ideas that you're excited to implement' said Atrion's CEO and President, Tim Hebert. 'AlwaysOn isn't just about IT today. AlwaysOn is about taking action in the IT revolution and controlling your outcomes. Organizations must understand the impact that IT has on achieving outcomes,' he said.

Atrion has held previous events at Gillette Stadium but President and CEO Tim Hebert decided to change the game this year and move the AlwaysOn Symposium to the Rhode Island Convention Center. In doing so, he gave attendees the chance to appreciate all that Providence has to offer and gave local businesses, hotels, and restaurants hundreds of customers. 'It was an amazing experience to work with the Rhode Island community to bring the event here. Attendees fell in love with the charm and the Renaissance of the city, a place they might not have visited without an opportunity like this,' said Hebert. 'I am proud the AlwaysOn Symposium had such an impact on leaders while delivering half a million dollars in revenue to our state.' The AlwaysOn Symposium featured TED Talks speaker Daniel H. Pink, a New York Times best seller and author of five provocative books about the changing world of work; as well as innovation advisor Stephen Shapiro, whose methods have helped organizations like Staples, GE, NASA and Telefonica. The Executive Director of Commerce RI, Marcel Valois, jump-started the day's agenda, which included presentations from Atrion's thought leadership, Tim Hebert - CEO, Dave Ramsden - Chief Strategy Officer, and Garry Foisy - Senior Director of Strategic Marketing.
