Kryptiq CareManager™ Named a Leader in IDC MarketScape for U.S. Population Health Management

BEAVERTON, Ore. --(Business Wire)--

Kryptiq Corporation today announced that IDC (News - Alert) Health Insights has named Kryptiq CareManager™ a leader in the IDC MarketScape: US Population Health Management, 2014 Vendor Assessment.

"Kryptiq has among the largest client base in the population health management market, and CareManager is among the most mature products," said IDC Health Insights in the report. "The company's market differentiators include its ability to bi-directionally integrate with EHRs; clients are able to present data at the point of care to support clinical decision-making and close gaps in care. IDC Health Insights believes that integration at the point of care delivers more effective care management."

Based on IDC analysis and customer perceptions, Kryptiq CareManager's position as a leader was secured for the following key attributes:

Point-of-care integration: Kryptiq CareManager is the only population health management application with bi-directional, EHR integration available from a non-EHR vendor. Its expertise in provider workflows enables Kryptiq to more fully achieve both provider and patient engagement.

Surescripts Network integration: Kryptiq's unique relationship with Surescripts extends its client reach, provides access to new data sources, and creates a platform for future product development.

Product Roadmap: Kryptiq invests heavily in research and development and has a clearly articulated strategy for the product's future.

Customer involvement: Kryptiq CareManager is the commercial version of a product developed by providers at Providence Health & Services. Since acquiring the software, Kryptiq has co-developed each release and curated evidence-based clinicl guidelines in collaboration with a 20-member customer advisory group.

"Today's announcement provides a strong endorsement of Kryptiq's commitment to developing a population health management application that is deeply embedded in the provider's work flow," said Malcolm Costello, GM, Kryptiq Population Health Management. "CareManager is developed by providers for providers, enabling the care team to practice at the height of their licensure, eliminating work for the physician, and increasing the focus on the patient in the encounter."

IDC Health Insights' analysts conducted a comprehensive review of vendors claiming to have a population health management solution. While many of these vendors had some capability to enable population health, they did not meet IDC Health Insights' vendor inclusion criteria, which include:

1) Functionality that includes analytics to identify and stratify patients, and then present performance measurement data to providers and patients;

2) technology is utilized by provider organizations, rather than by payers on the provider's behalf; and

3) reference customers who are actively using all of the defined functionality to manage patient care and outreach.

Ten companies ultimately met IDC's criteria and were measured on 24 standards. Kryptiq was recognized as a market leader, in large part for the unique capabilities of its CareManager software, as well as its large installed base. The report highlighted customers' praise for Kryptiq's service and support. Its practice of engaging customers in the product development process was also specifically noted.
