Backup or recovery software package [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Contract award: Provision of Integrated Backup Solution to University of Aberdeen. The solution is initially required to deal with up to 100TB of data, with varying retention requirements ranging from 30 days to 15-year static archives. This includes ~30TB of data from an EMC Celerra NAS system; ~20TB from VMs; and ~47TB from physical servers, which includes ~10TB of Oracle database data. VM data is expected to grow and physical estate to shrink. There are currently 35 VM hosts with over 220 production VMs and ~320 physical servers, not all of which are included in the current backup regime. It is a very mixed environment for operating systems, encompassing Windows 2000, 2003 and 2008 servers, Linux RHEL versions 3.4 through 6.4, and several Solaris 9 and AIX5L servers. We currently use two IBM TS3500 tape libraries for long-term data storage, and would want to reuse as much physical hardware for the new solution as possible. We are looking for a 5-year plan.
