BOSTON --(Business Wire)--

PaperThin Inc., a leading SaaS (News - Alert), cloud-based Web content management solution provider, today announced the launch of its Spring 2014 release. With CommonSpot Spring 2014, you can now:

  • Leverage video content more easily-Take advantage of the power of video to drive home your messaging though easy access, management and publishing of internal or external multimedia assets within CommonSpot's streamlined user interface. Native integration of Brightcove and YouTube's external multimedia services enables you to seamlessly and conveniently utilize the expertise and hosting capacity of dedicated video-sharing services to improve quality, reliability, efficiency, and control when serving video or multimedia content.
  • Change content layouts on the fly-As your content constantly changes, don't force or shortchange messaging to fit page real-estate. Instead, though one-click WYSIWYG options, change the page section's layout on the fly to display the content the way you want it to maximize effectiveness. Render content responsively using multiple columns, tabs, carousels, accordions, type-ahead lists and by any other means.
  • Manage navigation without code-Create flexible navigation or context structures that hierarchically define your content, allowing you to easily control access to your high level messaging. Then render these structures appropriately for multiple devices in the form of expanding/collapsing horizontal or vertical menus, accordion lists, mega menus, carousels, etc., all without the need to write code.
  • Optimize websites for the disabled-Create accessible web pages, organize content using HTML5 outlining, tag (News - Alert) content regions, view how well those pages perform for accessibility, and optimize them in real time for the devices and web access strategies most often used by individuals with disabilities.
  • Easily incorporate responsive design-Utilize new CSS, container and naigation capabilities to integrate any of the popular grid systems, making it easy to incorporate a responsive design into your site. Then once the design is set in place, designers can develop pre-defined layouts that enable marketers to easily control future content in a responsive manner.

In addition to these features, Spring 2014 includes numerous customer requested improvements and enhancements such as the ability to post social media content directly to LinkedIn and Facebook (News - Alert) group pages, improvements to Google Analytics reporting, Contextualization scheduling, updated browser and platform support and much more.

"Prior to selecting CommonSpot, we had used a home-grown CMS. We needed to replace the system we had built, while maintaining the extensive features we had developed. CommonSpot fit the bill. Additionally, the features in CommonSpot Spring 2014 are helping us meet our strategy of offering customers a more experience-focused website that leverages features such as responsive design and multimedia-to name only a few. We are excited about the functionality that the product brings us and look forward to taking advantage of these features, once our new site goes live later this month," said Allan Jagos, Project Manager, Robinson & Cole LLP.

"Our move to CommonSpot Spring 2014 was prompted by the need for a redesign of our Fiber Science and Apparel Design website. The recently-launched new site takes advantage of the Navigation Builder feature allowing our marketing team to easily manage site navigation, reducing dependence on IT. We look forward to leveraging other new features in CommonSpot as the site further develops," said Mark Vorreuter, manager web and digital communications, Cornell University College of Human Ecology.

"CommonSpot makes complex but critical marketing tasks simple," said Todd Peters, president of PaperThin. "Implementing personalization, responsive designs or even navigation in a manner that allows your needs to evolve over time is often difficult. As a result these features which greatly improve marketing results are often put on the backburner. That is what the Spring 2014 release is about, making complex but critical tasks more attainable for quantifiable marketing results."
