Gisel Kordestani, co-founder of Crowdpac and former director of new business development at Google, has joined the board of directors of the global humanitarian organization Mercy Corps, based in Portland. Kordestani brings extensive experience in the global technology sector, particularly in the Middle East. While at Google, Kordestani focused on social, new advertising and web platforms across Europe, Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Asia. Kordestani also engaged Google in developing the Palestinian IT sector with Mercy Corps and supported the kick-off of the Arab Developer Network Initiative to train and support software developers in Gaza and the West Bank. With two co-founders, she recently started Crowdpac, a new company that aims to help people engage more easily and effectively in the political process by using big data to calculate objective ratings for political candidates.
First Tech Federal Credit Union added Jeremy Walker as its new senior vice president, mortgage lending. Based out of Beaverton, Walker will lead a mortgage management team and be responsible for all facets of mortgage operation and sales. Walker brings 18 years of lending expertise, including 12 years as a senior vice president with the Bank of America retail mortgage group in Virginia and later the Pacific Northwest.
Cambia Health Solutions has added Inderpal Bhandari as chief data officer. In this newly created role, Inderpal will use his experience in data analytics and management to lead the development of Cambia's data strategy, and help drive the transformation of the company's consumer experience strategies.Inderpal brings to Cambia more than 20 years of experience in leadership roles at such leading companies as Express Scripts/Medco Health Solutions and IBM.
