Metropolitan Emergency Consortium Communications (MECC), Ohio goes live in a record 90 days

Mifflin Township Tiburon CAD: DispatchNow CAD and Mobile suite went live on January 27, 2014 in a record 90 days from contract signing to meeting the Agency's need to support multiple communities. The new system has many new and enhanced capabilities including dispatching the closest unit to an emergency location by using Advanced Vehicle Location (AVL) technology. Details of the project include a centralized Datacenter in Columbus for the servers, 2 full time sites MECC and Licking County 911, Multi-agency implementation: Fire, EMS and Police; 14 CAD clients, 87 Mobile clients, WebCAD, Notifications Server and Tiburon Reports; and several interfaces: AVL Interface to AirLink (News - Alert) and RocketPort GPS Modems, RMS XML interface to EmergiData's RescueMedic application, FireHouse, Locution Station Alerting, Paramount, and Pictometry; Custom SQL Views, and a complete Training system mirroring the productions system's CAD configuration. The 2 sites use separate Paramount licenses and separate 911 systems; however, Tiburon was able to configure them seamlessly into the single CAD system. The system was purchased with help from a federal grant, and used to dispatch agencies from six jurisdictions including: Mifflin Township, Jefferson Township, the City of Whitehall, Truro Township, and Violet Township. Since go-live, Mifflin Township has purchased further production Mobile client licenses and expanded the Training system. "Implementing a new system of this scale and magnitude, under a tight deadline, was not an easy task. It resulted from unprecedented teamwork between elected officials, fire chiefs and 911 center administrators. It was implemented by dozens of staff members representing emergency services, 911 dispatching, IT and project management. Tiburon delivered on its commitment and we are excited about our long-term partnership. The new technology supporting MECC and Licking County will help our agencies protect our communities for many years to come," said Frederick Kauser, Deputy Fire Chief, Mifflin Township Division of Fire - on behalf of the Metropolitan Emergency Communications Consortium.

"High client satisfaction is our primary goal at Tiburon and can only be achieved through absolute team commitment. Our deployment and implementation teams are the best in the industry and I'm very proud of everyone's contribution to each client's successful project," said Jonathan Huberman, President and CEO of Tiburon.
