(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) In Port Moresby, mobile operator Digicel has launched the first 10 LTE sites for postpaid customers. With this it becomes the first company to introduce 4G in Papua New Guinea.

According to CEO John Mangos, demand for network speed was high in PNG, and the operator was all set to take the lead in addressing this demand through LTE.

Eventually, the service will be launched to the other provincial and district centres, and will be offered to prepaid customers.
