ARCADIS announces nominations for appointments to the Supervisory Board and Executive Board


(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 31 March 2014 Release date- 28032014 - ARCADIS (Euronext: ARCAD), the leading global natural and built asset design and consultancy firm, today announced that Mr. Ian Grice, currently member of the Supervisory Board of ARCADIS, has accepted to be nominated for re-appointment to the company's Supervisory Board for another four year term.



Likewise, Mr. Renier Vree, currently Executive Board member and Chief Financial Officer of ARCADIS has accepted to be nominated for re-appointment to the company's Executive Board for another four year term in the same position. The company also announced that Mr. Stephan Ritter, currently CEO of ARCADIS Europe, has been nominated for appointment to its Executive Board.

Mr. Ritter will succeed Mr. Friedrich Schneider, member of the Executive Board who has chosen to pursue opportunities outside ARCADIS at the end of his current term. Mr. Ritter will maintain his role as CEO Continental Europe until the operating model and performance improvement of Continental Europe has been successfully completed.


The Supervisory and Executive Board nominations are subject to shareholder approval during the upcoming General Meeting of Shareholders to be held on May 16, 2014 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The documents for this shareholder meeting will be published on ARCADIS' website at www.arcadis.com as of April 2, 2014.

Mr. Ian Grice (1953) has been a member of the Supervisory Board of ARCADIS since 2010. Before that he was Group Chief Executive of Alfred McAlpine Plc and held several senior management positions at John Mowlem Construction Plc.

Mr. Renier Vree (1964) has been Chief Financial Officer for ARCADIS since 2010. Before joining ARCADIS he was the CFO for Philips Lighting and held several senior financial management positions in Asia and the US for Dutch-based Philips NV.

Mr. S. Ritter (1968) is a citizen of Germany and joined ARCADIS in September 2013 as CEO of ARCADIS Continental Europe. Mr. Ritter holds a business degree of the University of Paderborn in Germany, having studied in Seville, Spain and Nottingham, UK. In 1999 he joined General Electric (GE), where he worked until 2013.

He held various management positions in GE Capital Solutions, GE Healthcare and GE Enterprise solutions. In 2009, he became General Manager of Renewable Energy Europe and Managing Director of GE Wind. This business grew revenues and profitability considerably under his leadership. Mr. Ritter is a Master Black Belt Six Sigma and has led various global GE Six Sigma projects.
