All change for Pure Wafer board [Western Mail (Wales)](Western Mail (Wales) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) PURE Wafer has announced a shake-up of its board which will see chief executive Peter Harrington step down to become non-executive chairman. The Swansea firm has con-firmed Mr Harrington will be replaced by chief financial officer Richard Howells. Stephen Boyd is also stepping down as non-executive chairman but will remain as non-executive director. Mr Harrington said: "On behalf of the whole board, I would like to thank Stephen for his contribution and guidance in leading Pure Wafer through some challenging periods for the business and particularly during our recent bank negotiations which were successfully concluded and which have been fundamental in moving the company into a position of financial security. "I am very much looking forward to leading the board and overseeing the implementation of a strategic plan that will ensure the continued success and growth of Pure Wafer and one which will maximise shareholder value and returns." A spokesman for the business said it is expected the board changes will become effective on July 1 to allow time for a replacement chief financial officer to be appointed.
