120 Mile Run Planned for Charity Through Rugged Desert

Founder of Warrior Hearted Special Children's Foundation, Brian Keltner, will be running 120 miles from Baker, CA (News - Alert) to Las Vegas, NV. The run will start on March 22^nd and last an estimated 30 hours. The main goal of the run is to help raise awareness of the challenges of special needs children. The distance is significant and so are the needs of special needs children and their families. According to a story by the UPI, 14 percent of all US children are born with special needs.

Many special needs children fall between gaps of not meeting requirements for government assistance and have insufficient insurance coverage. There is also a gap between what the schools will offer a child and what the child needs to be successful.

This run will help raise awareness of those children and families in need and also raise much needed funds that enable these special children the service they require. With your help, we can help bridge that gap and enable parents to be better advocates for their child and equip them to battle for services.
