Voxbone secures DID license in S Korea [ICT Monitor Worldwide]

(ICT Monitor Worldwide Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) VoIP provider Voxbone has announced it has become the first licensed direct inward dial (DID) provider offering inbound SIP trunking services from South Korea.

Voxbone has been awarded a license to provide inbound calls to geographical, mobile and toll-free numbers allocated to companies in the nation.

VoxDID has initially launched in South Korea's five largest cities – Seoul, Busan, Incheon, Daegu, and Daejeon.

The company said the new license will allow its international customers to extend their voice networks into South Korea via its VoxDID service.

Voxbone CEO Itay Rosenfeld said the company had made a DID expansion into South Korea a top priority. "Given South Korea's economic importance, we have seen strong demand for SIP trunking services from our customers for this country," he said.

He said a number of major international operators - including NTT Com, Deutsche Telekom and Telefonica - use the company's VoxDID service to extend the reach of their respective voice networks.
